Back home, we are sharing a few impressions from the second day of KubeCon Europe 2024. It was a long, busy day of talks, meetings and ideas to explore further.
A packed programme
Sessions covered a wide range of topics: Kubernetes workloads, hardware, CoreDNS, OpenTelemetry, OCI, OAuth2, Crossplane and GitOps. Artificial intelligence also featured prominently in the keynotes.

Three recurring themes
End-to-end security, observability and resource and cost optimisation came up across different conversations. They are not isolated concerns; they connect to how we design, deploy and operate production systems.
Sharing helps us go further
We could not attend everything, so we split sessions, compared notes and shared what we learned. Speaking directly with the people building these tools added context that documentation alone does not always provide.
We came away with new questions, connections and lessons to apply in our everyday work.
